CRECE - Alamosa,CO                                                               The existing Center town hall is a deteriorated adobe building – too run-down to be renovated, but still very much a part of the community’s history and memory. Our challenge was to give Center back it’s center, so to speak, but in a way that accommodates the full range of the town’s needs. The new structure will recall the original, but will house city offices, the library, employment and financial offices, and recreational facilities such as a swimming pool. The design references the organizational model of a town, laying out these services along an interior street.
